This is because COB LED chips take up less space. Another reason why COB LED chips can be mounted close together is that it performs well in terms of heat dissipation. The "Chip on Board" LED (COB) is the most advanced LED. It gets its name because it is directly attached to the circuit board. This is achieved through what is called "binding", where the chip is attached to a gold-plated PCB in a fully automated process. The contact to the opposite pole is made through gold or aluminum wires. Since COB LEDs do not use reflectors or lens optics, the beam angle of the emitted light is very wide. The biggest advantages of COB technology are high lighting power, uniform lighting and numerous application areas.
