What is COB LED display?

COB (Chip on Board) technology, or chip on board packaging technology, is an advanced electronic packaging solution. This technology combines the solid crystal plane technology of dispensing and the precise dispensing capability of surface mount technology (SMT) to create a new COB full-color product. During the production process, a layer of thermally conductive epoxy resin (usually containing silver particles to enhance thermal conductivity) is first applied to the surface of the substrate, and then the silicon chip is directly placed on this treated surface. Subsequently, the silicon chip is firmly attached to the substrate through heat treatment. Then, the electrical connection between the silicon chip and the substrate is established using wire bonding technology, thus completing the entire packaging process. Unlike traditional point light sources, COB displays transform light sources into surface light sources, providing more uniform and comfortable light. It can display information from different signal sources such as computers, videos and networks, meeting the needs of large-area comprehensive information display.

Wireless connection (hard connection) is used between the module and the cabinet, which greatly improves the stability of the product. The design of front installation and front maintenance makes the module easy to disassemble. After replacement, it can be fully integrated with the surrounding modules by adjusting the brightness and color. The system also adopts "dual-channel bidirectional hot backup" technology, which can achieve real-time hot switching even if one video signal fails, ensuring the normal display of the system.
