The difference between COB light source and integrated high-power LED lamp beads

What are the differences between COB light sources and integrated high-power LED lamp beads? First of all, COB light sources and integrated high-power LED lamp beads are both a type of high-power LED lamp beads, and are both commonly used light sources for LED lighting fixtures. Their similarities are that multiple LED chips are integrated on the LED bracket to make a high-wattage and high-brightness light source. So how do we distinguish between COB light sources and integrated LED lamp beads? Specifically, they can be distinguished from the following aspects:

First, from the use of light sources: The main purpose of integrated high-power LED lamp beads is to make LED floodlights, LED street lights and other outdoor lamps, and the maximum wattage of a single bead can reach 500W; while COB light sources are mainly used in indoor lamps such as LED downlights, track lights, ceiling lights, etc., and the maximum wattage of a single bead does not exceed 50W.

Second, distinguish them from their brackets: the brackets used by integrated LED lamp beads are only a few square brackets such as 10W, 100W, 500W, etc., and the material is mainly copper, and the brackets have two side feet; while the brackets used by COB light sources have many sizes, and the shapes include square, rectangular, oval and dozens of brackets of different sizes. The material is mainly aluminum, and there are also copper and ceramic brackets, which generally do not have side feet.

Third, distinguish them from the LED chips they use: integrated LED lamp beads generally use large-size high-power LED chips above 1 watt, and the chip size is generally above 30MIL; while COB light sources are mainly based on low-power LED chips less than 1 watt, and the chip size is generally 14*22MIL and 20*24MIL chips. A very small number of COB light sources will also use high-power LED chips above 1 watt, but they are not the main ones.

The above are the three main aspects to distinguish COB light sources from integrated light sources. Based on the above analysis, we can clearly know which lamp beads are COB light sources and which are integrated LED light sources.
