This year, Jinko will launch a series of products with small light-emitting surface and large luminous flux output, among which the main 5050 and 7070 series will have two major development directions for low-power COB products within 12W. The two products, 5050 and 7070, are mainly aimed at customers in the domestic market; while the products with small light-emitting surface and high luminous flux are mainly aimed at the export market, especially the North American market.
Although the product has just entered the market, the market response is quite enthusiastic. Qu Weineng, product director of Jinko Electronics, revealed that the monthly production capacity of the COB production line has reached 5KK, although there is a large difference in the production capacity of low-power and high-power products.
In terms of customer feedback, the product has also received good reviews. The main feedback points include: COB products are smaller in size compared to traditional light sources; when replacing metal halide lamps, halogen lamps and other light sources, COB products have obvious advantages in service life.
In the early stages of research and development, Jinko Electronics did face some challenges. Since COB light sources are mainly used for downlights, it is necessary to solve supporting issues such as optical angles and reflective cups. In order to achieve better lighting effects, Jinko has invested more time and energy in the development of these aspects, said Qu Weinan frankly.
He further added that since customers are accustomed to the light color of traditional metal halide lamps, the light color effect imitated by LEDs is still a certain distance away from that of metal halide lamps. Therefore, Jinko will focus on improving light quality and light color in the future to cooperate with customers to optimize products and provide customized products. Due to the particularity of the application products and the diversity of users' preferences for beams and light colors, there will be different requirements for products. At the same time, Jinko also attaches importance to close contact with customers, and further improves products through customer feedback to better meet market demand.
As LED technology enters the lighting field, general-purpose products such as bulbs, flat panels, and tubes have entered a relatively mature stage of technology, while COB light sources are still increasing their application proportion. It is expected that in the next two years, the market increment of COB light sources will grow significantly.
